32nd Annual Scholarship Reception
On May 23rd we recognized 5 young women from the Central New York region who are headed to college for STEM related majors in the coming fall. In addition to our members, we joined by representatives of several of our sponsors, the scholarship recipients, and the recipients families and teachers. The event was held at Carrier, in East Syracuse, NY. Though this was not a record breaking year in regards to sponsorship we still received outstanding support from both long-term and new sponsors- each recipient received $2,250 and the event had it’s largest attendance in several years. It was a lovely evening and we look forward to continuing the tradition in 2023.
Holiday Dinner
Also in December, a small group of SWE members gathered at Attilio’s Restaurant and Bar in Syracuse for our annual Holiday Dinner. Excellent food and company was enjoyed by all.
PDH Seminar
In December SWE members and colleagues joined us over zoom for a PDH seminar. The presentation topic was “Recent Drinking Water Design Projects in the CNY Region” and was presented by two young engineers from B&L, Olivia Hicklen and Jessica Martinez. Thank you, ladies, for the excellent presentations and thank you everyone who attended.
Kick-off Picnic
In September we kicked off the fiscal year with a meeting at Clay Central Park. SWE members and friends enjoyed good weather, food, and discussed ideas for the upcoming fiscal year.
